HE WILL RETURN: Man Utd striker Mason Greenwood is on his way back to Man Utd to face Italy’s biggest club.
Man Utd striker Mason Greenwood has given the green light to sign with Juventus.
Mason Greenwood debuted at Man Utd in early 2019 and quickly showed his talent. He was even called up to the England team after his excellent performance at the Red Devils.
Unfortunately, in January 2022, he was arrested for allegedly raping and assaulting his girlfriend.
The following days were truly dark for Greenwood as he was unable to play football and was under a lot of pressure from the media.
Thirteen months later, the Crown Prosecution Service dropped the charges against the 22-year-old striker and released him. However, public pressure prevented this player from continuing to play for Man Utd.
The Red Devils found a good solution for Greenwood by sending him to Getafe on loan.
In Spain, Greenwood was warmly received. At the launch alone, thousands of fans came to cheer for the English striker.
He scored 10 goals and 6 assists in 36 matches in all competitions for Getafe.
Man Utd seems to maintain its stance this summer by not retaining Greenwood.
Sky Sports in Italy, Juventus is leading the race for his signature. Greenwood’s side said that this club is his top transfer priority and has given Juventus the green light.
The transfer fee will be an obstacle when Man Utd wants 50 million euros, but Juventus made an initial offer of 30 million euros.
