Russell shared photos from his son Riley’s 1st birthday party on IG

On September 25, Lakers guard Russell updated social media, showing footage of his first birthday party for his son Riley. This is a very creative party, full of Lakers elements. Especially the star card designed by Russell specifically for his son, along with the humorous article filled with his love for his son.

Russell wore number 1 when playing for the Lakers. Everyone wears number 1, but number 1 represents son Riley’s first birthday. Riley wears number 1 with his name on the back. A giant backdrop read “Riley’s Rookie Season” and featured purple and yellow balloons.

The most creative is the rookie star card designed by Russell specifically for his son Riley. The star tag features Riley on the front with Rookie Season written on it and his handwritten name below.

The back is more interesting. No. 1 Riley Russell plays for Lakers, he is 71 cm tall and weighs 10.75 kg. He was born in Minneapolis on September 24, 2022. The Lakers signed him with the No. 1 pick. His rookie season data was better, 295 of 295 shots, 100% shooting, 70 of 70 three-pointers, 100% shooting, 100% free throws, 200 rebounds, 85 blocks, 915 points and averaging 52.2 points per game.

Below the data is also a description: LeLucas (Riley’s son) dominated the league in his rookie season. He changes three diapers a day, screams six times an hour and keeps his opponents (Laura and D’Angelo) only 30% asleep. In 2023, he won every award available to an American player: loudest screamer, fastest steak, fastest 100-meter sprint.

“Big guy, we love you and can’t wait to see you continue to grow. Happy birthday, son,” Russell wrote. Kyle Lee, Towns and other former Timberwolves teammates appeared in the commentary box to praise Russell. The official social network of the Lakers and teammate Reeves also appeared in the comments area to send their blessings. After the birthday party, Russell took his son to the aquarium.

Russell averaged 17.8 points, 3 rebounds, 6.2 assists per game last season and shot 39.6% from 3-point range. He signed a two-year, £37 million contract extension with the Lakers in the off-season.
