In the NBA Paris Game 2023, Chicago Bulls shooting guard Zach LaVine debuted the New Balance Fresh Foam BB. It seems like only yesterday. LaVine soon established himself as the face of the line and in the annals of basketball sneaker culture.
New Balance is pleased to announce the launch of the Fresh Foam BBv2, an advancement in the basketball performance line offered by the brand.
Innovative revisions are incorporated into the Fresh Foam BB v2 to combine comfort, style, and comfort for positionless players who must maintain their freshness through the fourth. On February 2, adult sizes of the Fresh Foam BB v2 will be available for purchase on the New Balance website at the suggested retail price of $130.
Zach Lavine, a star guard for New Balance, collaborated closely with the design team to develop an exceptional shoe for the most recent installment in the Fresh Foam BB line.
LaVine stated, “This is without a doubt my favorite performance shoe, and I am extremely proud of the contributions I made to the design team.” I have one and only one shoe on my mind to don when I return to the court. Additionally, there are some explosive PEs that I cannot wait to display this season.
Zach’s refined and sophisticated persona was the inspiration for the Moon Beam colorway, which added a dash of individual style to the most recent iteration of performance footwear. The dual density Fresh Foam midsole of the New Balance Fresh Foam BB v2 provides superior comfort by combining a firmer durometer foam at the outsole with a gentler foam directly underfoot.

The underfoot sensation was a primary concern for the New Balance design team, and the complete Fresh Foam midsole facilitates a seamless transition from the heel to the toes. The hexagonal outsole design offers traction of the highest caliber, ideal for executing quick cutbacks to the basket.
“We are ecstatic to present the Fresh Foam BB v2, a performance basketball shoe that fuses cutting-edge design with the illustrious legacy of New Balance craftsmanship,” says Trent Casper, general manager of basketball footwear at New Balance.
“This update provides a responsive yet supple ride to keep the athlete fresh in the fourth,” Casper continued. “By fusing modern design with heritage elements and luxurious materials and lightweight textiles, the ideal balance is struck between performance and aesthetics.”
