LEBRON A recent mock draft suggested that James would have to continue in school, so he could have to wait for his ambition of playing with his kid Bronny.
Another two-round 2024 NBA mock draft was posted by ESPN, and this one does not include the superstar son of the Los Angeles Lakers.
Bronny James has been moved up to the NBA mock draft for 2025 on ESPN.
Lebron James, the NBA legend’s son, is Bronny.
After missing the cut in the most recent two-round NBA mock draft conducted by ESPN’s Jonathan Givony and Jeremy Woo, Bronny is going back to study at USC.
ESPN published a mock draft earlier this month that predicted Bronny would not be selected in 2024, but it also noted that he had a chance because he has “been excellent defensively.”
“James has plenty of room to grow as a ball handler to become more of a true combo guard than an undersized 3-and-D wing like he currently appears.”
The 19-year-old was shifted into the 2025 NBA draft, though, in the most recent mock draft.
Additionally, he was not included in the 2025 mock draft’s first round of selection.
Bronny was selected by ESPN to the Portland Trailblazers with pick No. 39, narrowly missing the opening round.
After learning about the story, LeBron took to social media to express his opinions. In a since-deleted post, he blasted the authors for preventing Bronny from “enjoying college.”
“Will you people simply just let the kid enjoy college basketball and be a kid? Whatever he chooses to do, in the end, the work and outcomes will speak for itself.
If you didn’t know, he just WORKS and doesn’t give a damn what a mock draft says! Earned Rather Than Assigned!” Written by LeBron.
During a workout on the USC campus in July of last year, Bronny experienced a medical emergency that caused his heart to stop, delaying the start of his college career.
Despite his curable congenital heart disease diagnosis, the James family expressed confidence in his ability to return to the court.
On December 10, Bronny played his first game back against Long Beach State. This season, he has made 19 appearances and averaged 5.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists.
LeBron has also expressed rather candidly that he hopes to play with his son in the NBA.
NBA analyst Marc Stein stated earlier this month that he had heard rumors that teams were considering picking Bronny as a means of luring James away from the Lakers.
“I know of at least two teams on the NBA map that believe LeBron James would consider signing with them at far less than $51.4 million if Bronny James is on the roster.”
