Manchester United was once again let down by Casemiro’s poor defense.
Leandro Trossard was the game’s lone goal scorer, but he looked impressive against the Gunners and was United’s most potent threat prior to getting hurt.
United put up a better show in response to their 4-0 loss to Crystal Palace, although they hardly ever caused problems for Arsenal’s defense.
It also appeared doubtful that the Red Devils would win the game when Leandro Trossard gave the visitors the lead after Casemiro had missed a chance to play Kai Havertz offside.
Just two of United’s attempts on goal were on target, and players Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund were without much bite.
Diogo Dalot and Andre Onana did well against the league leaders, so there were some bright spots.

Let down by his defenders for the Arsenal goal, Martin Odegaard made a good stop in the second half and a better one to deny Gabriel Martinelli.

A powerful run and another shot over the bar signal a bright start. kept Bukayo Saka quiet and had an excellent connection with Garnacho.

Casemiro (5)
Onana cleared the ball so slowly that Arsenal took advantage of it to score the first goal. Though not as good as he was at Palace, the harm had already been done.

bravely persevered despite obviously taking a knock in the second half, finally making way for Kambwala.
Veteran performed well for his supervisor.
Six Aaron Wan-Bissaka
performed a fantastic job on the Belgian despite appearing to lose Trossard, who scored the first goal. In the second half, great block to keep Rice at bay.

Not played much lately, but it performed better than anticipated. A few spectacular throws to open up the play and a few crucial interceptions.
Six Scott McTominay
Fantastic first ball to set up Garnacho and another to give Hojlund a chance.
The Scottish player made every effort to breach the well-prepared opposition defense.
Amad Diallo, age seven
An extremely uncommon beginning that offered the Red Devils much-needed impetus.
A fantastic dash into the box might have resulted in a pen for his team. He had to leave due to an injury.
Mainoo Kobbie – 6
The young player showed some excellent touches and made an effort to keep the home team moving, but they were unable to muster much against the well-trained Gunners.
Garnacho Alejandro – 7
United appeared to have the best chance of winning; one early shot was deflected over, and another went into the side net. gave Ben White some trouble.
Rasmus Hojlund – Five
Just one goal since his injury comeback, missing a fantastic early opportunity due to a slip. For the majority of the game, Gabriel and William Saliba had him well restrained.

Fitted in perfectly. One outstanding tackle that crunches.
